Experience and Training
Dr. Hodges is a board certified Ophthalmologist who has additional training in corneal microsurgery, cataract surgery and refractive laser surgery. He was one of the first Ophthalmologists in the VA tidewater area to perform Refractive Surgery in his own surgical suite, and was a pioneer of LASIK procedures in the Williamsburg, VA area.
Experience is crucial when selecting a LASIK surgeon. You need someone who knows not only the basics of LASIK but has also encountered special cases and has dealt with them successfully.
Dr. Hodges is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Association of Cataract Refractive Surgeons, a member of the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society, and is active with the Arizona and Tucson Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Hodges believes in continuing education and spends several weeks a year attending worldwide surgical conferences and regional ophthalmology meetings.
